Welcome to River Edge Farm Horse Rescue

Humans helping horses heal from the inside out!

River Edge Farm Horse Rescue is a non-profit 501(c)3 public charity located on 63 beautiful acres in Middle Tennessee where horses of all breeds and ages are taken in and cared for. We are dedicated to taking in horses that are voluntarily surrendered by owners who can no longer care for them, are abandoned or have been taken from owners where they were neglected or mistreated. Each horse is provided Veterinary care, Farrier care, dental care, and is evaluated for rehabilitation and training needs. Adopting a horse can be a very rewarding experience and we make every effort to provide a good fit between the horses and potential adopters. It can also be rewarding to play a part in their rehabilitation by Sponsoring a horse in our program. See horses for adoption here. We also hand craft many items to sell at events or special order. See crafts here. All proceeds to toward care and training of the horses. Contact us with any inquiries or to arrange an appointment to see the horses.

SPECIAL REQUEST

We are raising funds to support our efforts to introduce Little Snowman to everyone possible. He is an an ambassador for therapy and a very inspirational fellow to young and old alike. We are planning to take him to visit schools, nursing homes, where ever he may be needed.

It is not always possible to use a truck and horse trailer at 10mpg to transport a gentle miniature horse to many parking lots with little space to turn around. Hence, we are in need of a used, dependable cargo Van suitable for transferring Snowman from his home to visits with children, Veterans' families, and senior citizens.

Your consideration of a donation toward our goal or any suggestions would be greatly appreciated by everyone who has the opportunity to meet Snowman. Thank you.
