January 21, 2016 - Update:
Magic has presented a lameness issue and we are in the process of fully evaluating the origin of his problem. We will post results when we know more.
In the spirit of the giving season, we hope you will consider a much needed donation to the horses in need of food and care.
A small gift of $7.00 will cover the cost of one bale of hay. You can help us make a difference.
Happy Holidays to All!

Update: We have decided to keep Snowman as a therapy horse and hopefully get him vetted to visit schools and Nursing Homes.
River Edge Farm Horse Rescue, Inc.
We are raising funds to support our efforts to introduce Little Snowman to everyone possible. He is an an ambassador for therapy and a very inspirational fellow to young and old alike. We are planning to take him to visit schools, nursing homes, where ever he may be needed.
It is not always possible to use a truck and horse trailer at 10mpg to transport a gentle miniature horse to many parking lots with little space to turn around. Hence, we are in need of a used, dependable cargo Van suitable for transferring Snowman from his home to visits with children, Veterans' families, and senior citizens.
Your consideration of a donation toward our goal or any suggestions would be greatly appreciated by everyone who has the opportunity to meet Snowman. Thank you.

Opie is a 15.2 hh gaited mare approximately 13 years old. She has a smooth gait and rode nicely in just a snaffle. She was a solid trail horse with her previous owner. Her owner sustained an injury which prevents them from riding for extending periods of time. Opie does have a scar on her back leg however it does not affect her lovely gait or soundness. Easy to catch and no dominant in the pasture.
